Mother Nature smiled on the 5 Peaks Trail Running race in Durham Forest on June 12th.  The rain let up for a few hours and over 450 racers were treated to a revamped course along the forest's hilly, winding trails.
With its undulating terrain and seemingly endless maze of singletrack, this is considered by many to be the Toronto area's premier public trailrunning and mountain biking venue.

The 5.5km Sport race was won by 13 year old phenom Sam Greer, who also assumed the lead in the season points race.  On the women's side, Sarah Ali-Khan emerged victorious in her first ever 5 Peaks race.  The longer Enduro race was won by frequent 5 Peaks champs Kyle Aitken and Kristen Tamburrino.
