On March 1, 2010, Kevin Vallely and Ray Zahab embarked on the i2P Siberian Express for Water Expedition.

This expedition will see the pair of endurance enthusiasts running, unsupported, across the frozen surface of Lake Baikal, in Russia, which is 636 kilometers long and is said to be the oldest and deepest lake in the world.

Pulling all the food and gear that they require in sleds behind them they were able to cover 60 kilometres on day one and on day two, on account of very heavy wind storms, they covered 42 kilometres. This expedition is all to raise awareness and funding for clean drinking water programs throughout the world. Of course, with all i2P expeditions, they have reached out to schools with the intent to inspire students through the i2P experiential learning program. Their goal for this expedition is to finish the entire distance in 10 to 12 days. You can follow their progress online at: www.impossible2possible.com/siberia.
